  • Description:  * Ten years ago, a local Darling River campaigner said that NSW irrigators in the northern basin were taking more water than the much-reviled Cubbie Station cotton farm in Queensland. * Broken Hill has yet another honoured citizen who makes their home here, with local historian Jenny Camilleri the latest to be awarded the Order of Australia Medal for her service to community history. * Broken Hill teens Willow Pascoe, Zach Murray and Jordan Whitelaw have been accepted into the State Dance Festival with their piece 'I Disorder'. * The Far West Local Health District has celebrated its staff that had excelled in customer service and had contributed to an exceptional level. * Willy Nilly Art Students held their exhibition opening at the GeoCentre with a High Tea. The day was well attended by students and their families and friends, and the artworks will be on display until August 20.
