* Government support for country tourism in NSW was “unprecedented”, a visiting delegation has told the city’s mayor.

* Broken Hill is about be treated to a week and a half of historical activities to mark the city’s Heritage Festival.

* The North Football Club will open its doors to the public tomorrow after four months of renovations to the clubrooms that have resulted in a total revamp.

* After a long hiatus during summer the Broken Hill soccer season kicks off this weekend with the first trial games starting tonight.
