* City Council has postponed this weekend’s Volunteer Expo and Tree Giveaway to better accommodate volunteer groups, staff, and the wider community. It will now be held on September 22. See Page 3 for details.

* The “Ending HIV Bus” is returning to Broken Hill for all the glamour and glitter of the Broken Heel Festival. Trained peers will be on-site throughout the Festival offering free and confidential HIV and STI screening for those wanting to test or chat about sexual health.

* Andrew Johnson, pharmacy academic at the hospital’s University Department of Rural Health and pharmacist with Outback Pharmacies is encouraging people to take steps to reduce their stroke risk this week. See Page 4 for more.
