* Railway Town Public School kept the party going by holding their Book Week Parade recently. See our 2-page spread of colourful characters – PAGES 12 & 13.

* This Year’s Drag in Drag street parade has a new group walking in an attempt to highlight the importance of LGBTIQ+ and diversity – look out for the Far West District’s Department of Communities and Justice van.

* If you’re looking for a bit of respite from festival fanfare over the weekend, the ’10 – 4 – 10 Exhibition’ at the Art Exchange will be the place to be. Exhibition opening time – 5pm tonight.

* Friends of the Earth has once again joined with the LGBTI and drag communities to raise awareness about the state of the Darling River with a trip out to Menindee yesterday, and a visit to Broken Heel today.

* Broken Hill High School has a team of up-and-coming netball stars on their hands, Year 10 boys who will be competing in the state finals this month.
